Build a task
Say what you want to find out. Sonargent writes the prompt and the output columns, and gives you the exact settings for the Clay HTTP API column.
What will you give it from your Clay table?
Other columns are passed in as plain text. Only the website URL is opened as a page. Use short names with letters, digits and underscores. You can leave the URL off if the answer only needs the text you give it.

Set up the Clay column
- In your table click Add column and choose HTTP API. Leave Account empty. Turn Auto-run off right away, before you paste anything, or Clay runs rows with the placeholder text.
- Method
POST. Endpoint: - Headers:
Content-Type=application/json - Body: paste this, then The body is right when each value shows as a column chip, not as the text
/url. - Response values to return: add each column name from the table above, one by one. Add
_costto see what every row cost, and_errorto see why a row failed. - Add a run condition so empty rows do not run (for example: website URL is not empty). Run it on 5 rows first. When they look right, turn Auto-run on.
Improvements apply to every Clay column using this task within about 15 seconds. If an improvement adds or removes columns, this page tells you what to change in Clay.
